The EdVISTA CARES System concentrates on enhancing and expanding students’ school and community experiences by focusing on:

• Helping students problem solve, critically reason, and use their special strengths and affinities
• Pinpointing recurrent themes in learning and performance that signal a need for intervention
• Creating individualized learning plans that specifically address particular learning challenges
• Challenging and refining the skills of the gifted student

The EdVISTA CARES breakthrough begins with student evaluation to identify exceptionalities and abilities. This vital information will empower teachers and parents to become student-aware:

Teachers can then address academic challenges and co-design instruction that personalizes learning. This instruction will provide rich opportunities for students to create more complex meaning and connection, rather than simple recall of discrete, disconnected information.

By learning how to learn, children discover the joy of doing well. With this once-untapped strength at their command, students can further benefit from individualized learning plans that capitalize on strengths and focus on areas in need of mastery.
